Guest Policies


We strive to make your stay at Windsock Acres enjoyable and memorable. We have established policies to ensure that each guest has a pleasant and comfortable experience. When you make a reservation you are agreeing that you will abide by these policies during your stay. You will be required to approve our terms and conditions upon making a reservation; however, here are a few key things you should know before booking:


RATES
  • Base rates do not include local and state taxes. Taxes are currently 9.4%. Online quotes include all taxes and fees.
  • Rates are fixed and do not change based on the number of guests in a cabin. For the Cajun cabin, rates are based on one or two guests, additional guests above 2 will be charged a per person per night fee.
BOOKINGS & RESERVATIONS
  • To book a cabin, call, email or book instantly online through this website.
  • The full cost of your reservation is due upon booking.
  • We are unable to "hold" a reservation without payment.
  • We accept debit cards and all major credit cards, except American Express. Please, no cash or checks.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of booking, please contact the Manager at 719.347.1290 .
CANCELLATIONS
  • Any cancellations made 30 days or more before the arrival date will receive a full refund.
  • Any cancellations made less than 29 to 14 days before the arrival date will result in the loss of the 50% of your payment.
  • Any cancellations made within 13 days of the arrival date will result in the loss of the entire payment.
  • If we are able to re-book your cabin, we will issue a partial or full refund. We make every effort to re-book all cancellations.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
  • Check-in time is between 2 and 4pm Mountain Time. The Manager will contact you the day before your arrival to arrange a check-in time and give you a personal introduction to your cabin. Late check-ins must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance with Management.
  • Check-out time is by 10am.
THE PROPERTY
  • This special property is shared between Windsock Acres guests and the Augur Family. We ask that guests respect the communal and private spaces of the property. The yard is open to guests.
  • The manager is on site daily to assist and visit with guests.
EXTRA GUESTS & VISITORS
  • The Magnolia and Boathouse are double occupancy only and are not equipped to accommodate more guests than specified. The Cajun can sleep no more than 4 people.
  • Due to the unique layout of the property and out of respect for the other guests, please limit the number of visitors onto the property.
QUIET HOURS
  • Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am.
PETS & CHILDREN
  • We are unable to accommodate pets and small children on the property and in the cabins.
  • Due to the delicate wood carvings, The Boathouse cannot accept guests under the age of 18.
SMOKING & ALCOHOL
  • We are a smoke-free property. Smoking is prohibited in the cabins and on the property, including marijuana. A cleaning fee of $250 will be charged for any smoking indoors.
  • Responsible alcohol consumption is allowed for guests 21 years of age and older.
HOUSEKEEPING
  • Cabins are cleaned daily. Towels and linens will only be changed every three days unless requested otherwise.
  • The cleaning of the kitchen in The Cajun is the responsibility of the guest.
PARKING & ATVs
  • There is ample parking in front of the property. RVs, Camping trailers and ATVs are not allowed. There is no ATV access to/from Windsock Acres.
